Uniquely yours: Bespoke interior design by Studio Fitzroy

Uniquely yours: Bespoke interior design by Studio Fitzroy

Just because inclusive washrooms have to comply with agreed standards, doesn’t mean they have to be ‘standard’.

Disabled people deserve more than just basic functionality and compliance when it comes to their washroom experiences.  They’re worthy of the same indulgent and uplifting sensory experiences non-disabled people enjoy when they step into a luxury bathroom space – and with a Fitzroy of London bathroom, you can give them exactly that.

But how do you create those spaces if you don’t have access to a specialist interior designer?

At Fitzroy of London, we don’t just specialise in inclusive washroom accessories.  Through Studio Fitzroy, we also offer a complete interior design service to help extraordinary venues deliver extraordinary bathroom experiences.

With more than 20 years of expertise in accessible design, we’re ideally placed to help commercial and hospitality businesses, as well as private individuals, to create accessible washroom spaces that dare to be different.

Whether you require expert consultancy to support your existing architect, designer or contractor, or you’re looking for a partner to help you develop your vision from scratch and see it through to completion, we’ve got all the design, product development and compliance expertise you need to create unique bathroom spaces that raise the bar.

So how does it work?

When you approach Studio Fitzroy with the brief for a new washroom project, we’ll start by taking time to understand precisely what it is you need, and what you want to achieve within the space.

This begins with a meeting or call to establish key factors ranging from location, scope of work and budget through to timescales, what stage the project is currently at, identifying key partners and stakeholders, and defining your design aspirations.

Once we’ve got a good sense of the project, we’ll recommend the service level we feel will best serve your project and deliver the desired outcome.  This might be:

  • Consultancy only

We’ll work closely with your interior designer and/or architect to select existing or commission bespoke products from Fitzroy of London for inclusion in the final design scheme.  This specification would then be passed to the contractor for procurement and installation.  There are no design charges for this service level.

  • Design only

Our interior designers will collaborate with you to develop a design scheme for your inclusive washroom space, including the selection of finishes, materials, sanitaryware and Fitzroy of London washroom accessories.  Once the design is finalised and approved, plans are passed to your architect for inclusion in drawings, and to the contractor for procurement and installation.  A Fitzroy of London consultant is available to you at all times should you need guidance or amendments to the design.  This service level incurs a fixed fee, agreed at the time of proposal.

  • Turnkey service

The ideal solution for independent businesses or private individuals who haven’t already engaged with an external architect or designer, our turnkey design service will guide your project from initial concept through to completion.

Studio Fitzroy project managers will oversee every aspect of the design including the appointment of external contractors; selection, procurement and installation of all materials, sanitaryware and accessories as required; snagging and sign-off.  This service level typically incurs a percentage fee relevant to the overall project value.

Expertise you can trust

Whichever service level you choose, when you choose Studio Fitzroy you can be assured of knowledgeable, professional expertise to help you create a truly inclusive washroom space that delivers on design aesthetic without compromising on practicality or compliance.

Fitzroy of London products have been selected by designers working on some of the world’s most prestigious commercial and hospitality venues around the world, and we are always looking for opportunities to showcase our work.  If your project is suitable for a case study and you are happy to release information and images into the public domain, we may be able to waive certain design fees – your Fitzroy of London account manager will be happy to discuss options.
