London 2019; The hottest new hotels

London is home to some of the best hotels in the World. With impressive architecture and unique interior design and furnishings, it’s a competitive market.

Currently, the hospitality industry boasts over 45,000 hotels in London alone, which equals around 730,000 rooms and the figure keeps on growing with new hotels opening every year.

Next year, there will be several new hotels opening in the capital, so whether you prefer a boutique hotel or a Scandi-inspired skyscraper, below are some of the hottest hotel openings which are scheduled for 2019.

Vintry & Mercer

Opening: February 2019

Nestled in the heart of London along a narrow street, you’ll find London’s newest luxury boutique hotel. The 92 bespoke rooms and suites draw interior inspiration from the historic trading guilds of the City of London and create a unique hideaway in the bustling borough. The Vintry Kitchen can be found downstairs, where you can sample delicious Asian tapas, before heading to the terrace for a drink whilst overlooking iconic London sights, including St Paul’s Cathedral and The Shard.

Hard Rock Hotel

Opening: Spring 2019

Found on the corner of Oxford Street and Park Lane, the Hard Rock Hotel is destined to be a haven for music lovers as this 1,00-room hotel will boast two buzzing bars, plus a Hard Rock Café set to serve American cooking with a British twist.

Lincoln Plaza London

Opening: January 2019

Canary Wharf is about to get another high rise with the addition of Lincoln Plaza London early next year. The sleek exterior is influenced by London’s commercial and financial hub while still drawing on the area’s industrial heritage.

The Stratford at Manhattan Loft Gardens

Opening: Spring 2019

The Stratford Hotel will be found inside a double-cantilevered tower which also contains a number of living spaces, three sky gardens and two restaurants. The design hotel features Scandinavian-inspired interiors by Space Copenhagen, which each of the 145 rooms filled with natural light and unique artworks. Minimalism at its finest.

The Great Scotland Yard Hotel

Opening: Early 2019

 The iconic building of the historic London Metropolitan police station, Great Scotland Yard Hotel is currently being developed into a luxury lifestyle hotel and will be the first hotel in the UK in the Unbound Collection by Hyatt.

The new Great Scotland Yard is known for its rich history, providing guests the opportunity to stay in the location where the police pursued some of the country’s most notorious criminals, including Jack the Ripper. The distinct historical character of the building will be preserved throughout the renovation and upon completion, this historic building will be a luxury 153-room hotel with sophisticated food and beverage offerings.
